AAC (All Aluminium Conductor)

This kind of conductor is composed by one or more layer of pure aluminium AA1350-H19, hard drawn. The conductivity is 61%IACS. This kind of conductor has a very low value of specific mechanical resistance and it’s used for short lengths (for example next to the stations) and not for long spans.
This kind of conductor has a very good resistance to corrosion and his modulus of elasticity is characterized by a law that consider the formation of the conductor (number of wires and layers).

AAAC (All Aluminium Alloy Conductor)

The material used on these conductor is an aluminium alloy AA-6101. It’s a special alloy with Magnesium and Silicium with an excellent conductivity value (the average is 53%IACS).
The specific mechanical resistance is higher than AAC conductor (more or less the double), maintaining a high corrosion resistance.
Compared to ACSR, this kind of conductor is characterized by a lower diameter and the overloads due to the wind pressure are lower.

AAC And AAAC (All Aluminium And All Aluminium Alloy Conductor) – Aluminium And Aluminium Alloy Conductors

AAC conductor are suitable for use in spans on wood poles, transmission towers, and other structures where tensile strength and temperature ratings are not required. Application range from extra high voltage(EHV) transmission lines to sub-service spans at distribution or utilization voltages on private premises.

AAC conductor(All aluminum conductor) is the most economical bare overhead conductor due to its lighter weight. It offers easier handing during installation and use of simpler fittings. The conductor is corrosion resistant due to its homogeneous construction.

 Standard
ASTM B230, B231, B400
Note: this AAC conductor also can be manufactured according to your special request.

Construction
Aluminum 1350 wires are concentrically stranded and wrapped helically around a central wire. Each successive layer has six wires more than the previous underlying layer. Outer layer is right hand lay and reversed in successive layers.
